La LOOP was created over 15 years ago out of necessity as we searched for an eyeglass accessory that combined function and fashion – there was nothing on the market that fit the bill. La LOOP’s patented hinge sets it apart from other eyewear accessories. This hinge uses 360-degree swivel technology to ensure that glasses stay safe and in place, without bending, twisting or falling on the floor. The loop sits at the bottom of stunning, stylish and modern necklaces made from high-end materials including Italian leather, sterling silver, coral, turquoise and gemstones.
La LOOP was the first necklace for eyewear, establishing this category after having been awarded a patent on the loop’s swivel hinges. Since the creation, the Museum of Modern Art in New York has recognized La LOOP as an invention.
Since the classic La LOOP was created, Faraut has incorporated two distinguished reader necklaces, the Le Collier and the Monocle. Designed for a quick menu or price tag read, the links of the Le Collier necklaces are home to a disguised pair of readers, while the Monocle is a fun, flirty take on the old school corrective lens that hangs from a stylish chain and can be worn as a necklace or tied around a purse handle for easy, convenient magnification.
While having lunch with a friend at a restaurant in New York, Faraut noticed a woman at another table reach for her glasses in her La LOOP and then put them back in the loop after a couple minutes of reviewing the menu. And it was then that she had an "AHA" moment. She doesn’t really need a full reader to read the menu…. She needs the magnifiers for a quick read. And so it was at that moment that Le Collier was born.
Celebrities such as Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts and Heidi Klum have worn La LOOP and today it is sold in select boutiques around the world. Throughout the year, Elizabeth draws inspiration from travel and life experiences and sits down each season with her team to create new designs.
